Do you think anyone would try to steal the harry potter character if JK didn't kill him in the last book?

People have been saying, that if JK rowling kills harry in the last book it might be because she doesn't want any other authors to try and steal the character, or is it all part of the plot and soulution to the voldemort problem? even if another author tried to continue the story, they couldn't, only JK can really make harry's character come to life, I want to hear your opinion.
