Fable 2 questions? Good players?

ok im getting fable 2 soon. I want to know how to NOT lose the dog? Also how is evil the best way 2 go? I prefer evil. Also if there are any other games to suggest. I like shooting, some rpgs, and racing. I have burnout paradise, The COD's, I didnt like fallout 3 and sold that. Also Farcry 2 I have. Also how to not lose your dog in Fable 2. Is this a good game to get? Is it fun? Good answers please. Any other tips as well. Thank you.
