Seo wordpress question?

iv'e just recently started a blog and I was wondering if ive been correctly doing seo on my blog. my blog is profitablebusinessidea.wordpress.com. the reason why i ask this is because i don't want to waste my time making this blog if i won't get any traffic from it. anyone have any tips for me to improve my seo and eventually get a substantial amount of traffic?
