Feeling charged during a thunderstorm?

Ive never really had an interest in witchcraft until I was about 17 years old. Then one afternoon we had a really really bad tornadic thunderstorm and I noticed that I began to feel charged or empowered, like something was flowing through me that i hadnt felt before. I asked my grandmother later about it and she suggested that i look into studying witchcraft. Still to this day I still have that feeling. My hands become very hot and my body temperature rises, my eyes become EXTREMELY intense blue as opposed to their regular slate color. I am 22 now and I still have no answer. Can someone explain this to me?
